Reviving the Classics

The classics have never looked so good. Especially with fashion illustrator Ruben Toledo’s masterful and chic take on Bronte, Austen and Hawthorne.

Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, Ruben Toledo IllustrationsIllustrator extraordinaire and husband to breakout designer Isabel, Ruben Toledo’s take on Penguin Classics Deluxe Editions of The Scarlet Letterand Pride and Prejudicehas me wanting more! In Bronte’s Wuthering HeightsCatherine looks oh so chic and knowing on the cover, while her passionate man Heathcliff provides an air of mystery, intrigue and one of the coolest hairstyles of that century, no doubt.

If you already own these classic novels, doesn’t matter. You still need to pick up a copy featuring Toledo’s brilliant interpretation. If you’ve never read them (shame on you), then here’s your chance to catch up on the ultimate in must-reads and look chic while doing it. They’re all available in bookstores and online now.
