Fall is fast approaching bringing with it plenty of Latin film festivals that are worth your time and support. Here are a few you should check out:

Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival
The 12th Annual LALIFF begins September 12th and runs through September 19th at the Egyptian Theater and Mann Cinemas in Hollywood. Films featured include Brazil’s “A Casa De Alice,” Puerto Rico’s “Angel,” and USA’s “Adrift in Manhattan,” to name a few. For more information, visit latinofilm.org.

Vistas Latino Film Festival
Set the dates for September 17th through the 21st for the tenth year Dallas is celebrating Vistas. For info on tickets, films, and locations, visit vistasfilmfestival.org.

Providence Latin American Film Festival
Panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and films from Spain, Puerto Rico, the US, Mexico, Argentina and Cuba are just a few things happening at the RISD Auditorium, beginning September 22nd through the 29th. For film schedule and ticket info, visit latin-americanfilmfestival.org.

Long Island Latino International Film Festival
The Charles B. Wang Center in Stony Brook hosts this year’s LILIFF. For additional info, visit mezclamediamarket.com.

Boston Latino International Film Festival
Taking place October 3rd through the 12th, the festival celebrates its 7th year in 2008. You can grab more info by visiting bliff.org.

The 2nd Annual Orlando Hispanic Film Festival
From October 10th through the 12th, you can experience this year’s festival featuring indy films being shown at the The Premiere Cinema 14 at Orlando Fashion Square. For screenings and ticket info, visit ohfilmfestival.com.

Portland Latin American Film Festival
This is the second year for the PDXLAFF. Last year boasted films from five different countries with an attendance over 1,200. This year promises to continue the cultural fare from October 16th through the 23rd. For more info, visit pdxlaff.org.

The International Latino Film Festival
The San Francisco/Bay Area will host its 12th edition from November 7th through the 23rd in San Francisco, San Jose, Marin, Redwood City and Berkeley. For the latest film schedule, panels, and ticket info, visit latinofilmfestival.org.
